basically this woman is some sort of priest in her village. In that village no male child was born for a very long time and it is beleived by villagers that they have angered the God (kobra) for some reason. This priest lady brought food to that kobra and had to kiss her three times to get forgiveness for her people. Interesting thing is that 2 sisters of that lady died from kobra bites. at the end the lady had her clothes covered with kobra's poison but since she was not bit, apperently survived.
